Problem

DarkMatter was approached by the production team of Netflix to acquire 6 couples for the Ultimatum reality show. Previous social media campaigns were ineffective as they were not the correct demographic or profile type that was needed for the best possible production.

Objective

DarkMatter set out to refresh the look and feel of the campaign artwork, as well as the messaging and overall targeting effort to ensure that we brought in a minimum of 300 prospective submissions that the Netflix production team could select from.

Outcome

DarkMatter used humor, candid video interviews, puns, and clear call to actions to create an overall campaign that drove and ultimately garnered the exact profile that Netflix required for the show.

The meticulous selection of key platforms, stacked with content & messaging that matched each platform, allowed for higher submissions than any one had expected.

The campaign worked so well that the client re-ran the campaign with us 4 more times beyond the initial campaign.
